Best Bloody Mary on the Emerald Coast

In addition to loving wine and craft beer, South Walton and Destin residents have an appreciation for the perfect Bloody Mary. What better way to honor this morning cocktail than to hold a Bloody Mary Festival to see which restaurant makes the most delicious Bloody Mary on the Emerald Coast? The 2nd Annual South Walton Bloody Mary Festival will be held Oct. 1, 2016 at the Market Shops at Sandestin near Hidden Dunes Beach & Tennis Resort.
Held in Miramar Beach, the Bloody Mary Festival is one of our favorites. The 2016 event will feature more than 20 restaurants competing for the title of “Best Bloody Mary on the Emerald Coast.”
Participants will be able to try unlimited samples of the wide variety of styles and custom mixes, which will be combined with Cathead Vodka. Competing restaurants include Bijoux Restaurant & Spirits, Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant, Crab Island Cantina, DIG eatery, Doc’s Oyster Bar, Louis Louis, Lulu’s Destin, Marie’s Bistro, Restaurant Paradis, Roselie Dining & Seafood Bar, Roux 30a, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Signature Catering of 30A, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Sunset Bay Cafe, The Beach House, The Down Under Bar, The Hub, The NOLA Boiling Co., Tommy Bahama and Trebeaché.
Last year’s “People’s Choice Winner” was Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant in Seaside, which will be returning this year for those who missed last year’s coveted taste.
The festival will kick off with a Mardi Gras marching band performing a second line around The Market Shops at 11:00 a.m.and live music with Hugh Mitchell Band immediately following. A number of area restaurants will have food for sale including Bijoux Restaurant & Spirits, Charlie Graingers, DIG eatery and Marie’s Bistro.
