MKAF in Destin Hosts Tribute to ABBA, April 9

More music news! Destin will celebrate the sounds of the 70's as the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation hosts a tribute to ABBA. The live performance will be held on April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village off Commons Drive.

The tribute band, ABBAFAB is making its Northwest Florida debut performing a spectatcular multi-media tribute to the iconic ‘70s-era band. The live performance will be high energy and feature chart-topping hits from the ‘70s and ‘80s such as “Mama Mia,” “Dancing Queen, “SOS,” “Waterloo,” “Honey Honey, and ”Fernando” among others. ABBA was a Scandinavian sensation. The four-member Swedish band from Stockholm skyrocketed up the music charts with their hit “Waterloo” in 1974 and continued to dominate the charts with catchy, dance hits until 1982.

Bring a chair, blanket and picnic or purchase dinner prepared on-site from food trucks and local restaurants, serving a delicious variety of options. Attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages or purchase water and soft drinks at the event.Tickets for this benefit concert are $25 for adults and children (under 12) are free.
