2013 Destin Fishing Rodeo, Oct. 1-31

Destin is known as the World's Luckiest Fishing Village so it is only appropriate that the Destin hosts the Destin Fishing Rodeo, the ultimate fishing tournament for saltwater anglers of all ages. From Oct. 1- 31, there will be daily weigh-ins on the docks at A.J.'s Seafood & Oyster Bar from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

For those visiting during October, there are many ways to join the excitement and participate in the tournament. The Rodeo is open to the public and is free for angler's fishing aboard a boat registered in the Rodeo. Great for all ages, the Rodeo includes Junior, Teen, Ladies and Senior Divisions. For younger anglers (underage 14) fishing is free from the pier bridge jetty. Or just enjoy the action as a spectator by heading over to A.J.'s and watching the daily weigh-in's as participants compete for over $100,000 in cash and prizes. If it's a good day, you may see the crew weigh-in the winning King Mackerel, Marlin or Sailfish.
