It isn't every day that we have an international water ski event taking place in Santa Rosa Beach near Destin, Fla. But next week we do!
The Malibu Pan American Water Ski Championships will be held at Pickos Ski and Wakeboard School in Santa Rosa Beach, Sept. 12-15, 2012.
More than
150 championship water skiers from 9 countries (including the U.S., Canada and countries throughout Central and South America) will come to Destin, FL to compete for both individual and team Gold medals.
The school is located at 307 Slalom Way in Santa Rosa Beach (off Hwy 98 near Louis Louis Restaurant). Spectators are welcome and there will be parking available along Sugar Drive and concessions and a beer garden available on-site with proceeds benefiting the American Water Ski Educational Foundation.
