Ready for a Lucky Weekend?
If you're coming to Destin, FL this weekend-Lucky You! Everyone is already starting to wear green and in a festive mood. Of course, McGuire's Irish Pub will be the headquarters for the Emerald Coast celebration of all things Irish, including a must-try corn beef and cabbage meal, but we recommend a progressive tour in celebration of all things Irish.
On Friday, the St. Patrick's Parade kicks off the weekend at 3:30 p.m. along Scenic Hwy 30A ending with a Celtic celebration in Gulf Place.
On Saturday, the fun begins in South Walton in WaterColor with the Annual Art in the Park (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
Beginning at 4 p.m. in HarborWalk Village, the official Grogg March will "sham-rock" through the Village. Music and a lady leprechaun contest keeps the reverly going into the night.
In Sandestin, the St. Paddy's Day Delight takes place from 6-9 p.m. in the Village of Baytowne Wharf with traditional Celtic music, the Drake Irish Dancers and, of course, Irish beer.
