Blues, Brews & BBQ Savored in Destin

As we continue the season of culinary, wine, beer and spirits fests, our next edible celebration is the Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival coming to Destin, Fla. at the HarborWalk Village.

On Sat., Nov. 10 from noon to 4 p.m., area restaurants will compete in a fun BBQ competition. Teams will showcase their talents through some creatively delicious BBQ styles (not necessarily the traditional pork, beef, or ribs) while attendees try samples of the special creations.

Prizes will be awarded to the top winners in each category. Hosted by the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Northwest Florida chapter, the fun afternoon will feature “tasting stations,” craft beer tastings as well as live musical entertainment against the backdrop of the Destin Harbor (voted "Best place to watch the sunset" by Emerald Coast magazine).

Tickets are $25 and all proceeds benefit FRLA Educational Foundation, supporting the next generation of hospitality professionals.
