Destin Festival of the Arts, Oct. 26-27
It is another beautiful Autumn day along the beaches of South Walton and Destin, Fla. The vibrant colors of this time of year make us think of an artist's canvas. Spectacular sunsets paint the sky with bright orange and pink hues; shimmering emerald green waters of the gulf beautifully complement the brilliant white sand beaches; and colorful cottages and pastel homes line coast like gum drops sparkling in the sun.
The colorful fall season gives us a special appreciation for the arts and we're spoiled to live among a talented and thriving arts community. To celebrate, the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation hosts the annual Destin Festival of the Arts. Taking place next weekend, Oct. 27 & 28 at Henderson Beach State Park, the Destin Festival of the Arts features over 100 juried artists from around the United States who will compete for $9,000 in cash prizes.
We invite you to join us and explore the breadth of artistic styles and mediums, ranging in acrylic, clay, collage, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, mosaic, oil, pen and ink, photography, digital art, pastel, pottery, sculpture, fiber, textile, wood and watercolor in a coastal beachside setting. There will also be live musical entertainment, Kid's ArtStop and bistro-style food court.
We hope you'll plan to join us to be inspired, to relax and to enjoy art in the park. Click here to view the selection of premier Destin vacation rentals available.
